This collection was one of my favorites this year. Hugo just graduated from the Fashion Design BFA program at Parsons The New School for Design and for his senior thesis he created a collection based on the square shape. He experimented with the patterns and created some really interesting silhouettes. His pieces are wearable and in some cases you don't even notice the unusual shapes until the movement of the garment reveals them. I like that he kept the palette simple and clean and concentrated on the patterns. The overall look of the collection is structured and yet has a feeling of ease.

Hugo took this idea a step further and expanded it into an unusual "hand" bag, which is worn ON the hand. Certainly a clever and fin idea to lighten the serious concept of the collection.
